Trip to Nelson

We took our first family road trip to Nelson on May long weekend! We left at 1 AM on Saturday May 17. We wanted Aaron to sleep as much of the drive as he could, and it worked well! He slept all the way there, and only woke up once for about 15 minutes, to eat and poop! On Saturday we spent the day with John's dad and Pauline. We went for a waffle breakfast, relaxed, walked Baker street, had some lunch, then had dinner with Shawn, Chloe and Jack. On Sunday we went for a delicious breakfast at the Bent Fork, took the dogs for a walk (Aaron did NOT like his carrier that day!), then drove to Castlegar to visit with Leah's family. We went to Uncle Larry's house and Aaron met Larry, Aunt Brenda, Grandma Denise, Aunt Elaine, David and Tyler. We after visiting we all went for chinese food. It was a great visit and I'm glad they were able to see Aaron while he was a tiny baby!

Aaron did better than we could have asked for the whole trip. He slept all night, only waking once both nights, and was really good on the way back. We stopped in Creston for breakfast, then he slept until Fernie. He was up for a bit, then slept until Okotoks. He is a super little man! So glad we made the trip with him! And we brought Mack and Mya as well. They had a blast and were so well behaved! Mack hurt his leg on a walk on Sunday, but by Monday he seemed to be all better!

Lisa & Terry's Wedding

Our friends Lisa & Terry were married on April 26 at the barn in Shawnessy. It was a beautiful wedding, and Aaron's first 'big event'. He did really good! We stayed until about 1030, way past his bedtime. He fell asleep dancing with daddy.  It was so sweet :)

Beautiful cakes!

First Mother's Day

\
Mother's day was on Sunday, May 11th this year. I was so excited for it! John did good!! He woke up early (Aaron wakes every day at 7 AM, so have to get us super early to get up earlier than me) and made eggs, bacon and pancakes (my favourite). He also bought me a dozen beautiful roses, a card and made a photo album with mostly made up of pictures of Aaron and me, starting from the morning of his birth. It is beautiful! We then relaxed and napped during the day. I got lots of snuggles and play time with my little man. After we went to Johns mom's for dinner! It was a fabulous day!!

Awesome hair

Aaron is 3 months old already! He is such a good, content little man that we forget he's only 3 months old. We remember when he gets a little sad face and starts to cry (which is not very often!). He is just the best little man we could ever ask for. He is so happy, and is sleeping really good! He's put himself on quite a little schedule. He's ready for bed between 730-8, wakes once or twice at night for 10-15 minutes, then sleeps until 7 am! He's up at 7 am every day, like an alarm clock.

He is doing so many new things! He loves being in his highchair, picks up toys to play with while in there and loves his jolly jumper. He also LOVES to talk and sing with us, but gets the hiccups when he really starts to laugh or talk lots. Poor little man!

3 Months
- 15 pounds, 11 ounces
- Size 3 diapers
- Size 6 months clothes mostly! He's a big boy! He is even fitting in some 6-9 month stuff!
- Favorite things are baths with daddy, talking and laughing with mommy and daddy, playing in his highchair, his jolly jumper, his nightly massages, sucking on his hands and napping on mommy. He also found himself in the mirror on his play mat. It is so cute to see him lie there smiling at the baby looking back at him!
- He doesn't have many dislikes. He has gotten much better with the carseat - he fusses a bit, but is MUCH better! Lately he doesn't much like being in the wrap carrier with mommy, but we will work on it more, as she really wants him to love it!
